Pharmaceutical & Biomedical

In pharmaceutical sealing, chemical resistance, mechanical strength, and hygienic sealing capability are all critical factors.

PPE’s medical rubber grades can withstand a wide range of process media, potent active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), and aggressive cleaning regimes.

Application for pharmaceutical sealing

Exceptional sealing solutions for the most challenging pharmaceutical and biomedical applications.

Material excellence

Perlast® FFKM medical seals have been developed for use in critical applications where failure is not an option. Pairing high performance sealing with long-term reliability, a Perlast®-based sealing solution delivers multiple key operational advantages.

OEMs can extend the operating capability of their equipment without expensive valve and pump redesigns, and operators can achieve significantly lower overall cost of ownership.

PPE material grades are FDA and USP Class VI compliant – and together with full manufacturing batch traceability and certification to BS EN 10204, quality and safety are not left to chance.

Many of PPE’s pharmaceutical sealing grades are thermally stable at high temperatures, making them ideal for use in prolonged high temperatures, and applications which experience CIP, SIP, or Stage II sterilization.

Perlast® FFKM has virtually universal chemical resistance, performing reliably against all process media, potent APIs, and aggressive chemical regimes.
