Using one of the largest molding machines available, PPE manufactures high quality, fully molded, large diameter O-rings and custom parts for use in compressors, valves, oil & gas equipment, large bore diesel engines, large high pressure
vessels, Flat Panel Display (FPD) and semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
PPE’s large diameter, precision molded O-rings and seals are available in sizes up to 2.5 metres (8ft) outer diameter and cross sections from 5mm (0.2″) to 20mm (0.79″).
PPE’s specialist manufacturing capability for micro sized elastomer O-rings and components solves some of the most critical sealing applications, requiring the highest level of precision; including microfluidics (flow control and dispensing), bioanalytical, industrial automation and semiconductor process tools.
Parts are manufactured in a fully automated, ISO Class 6 clean room, cell with robotic handling and camera inspection, within a dedicated production area.
For O-rings used in food, dairy and pharmaceutical applications PPE offers a variety of elastomer material grades compliant with many international requirements such as FDA, USP Class VI and 3A Sanitary Standards in addition to metal detectable O-rings, all of which are free from Animal Derived Ingredients. RJT O-rings and DIN11864 O-rings are also available to fit hygienic unions.

The low temperature performance of O-rings components can be critical in aerospace, pharmaceutical/medical, oil & gas, food/dairy and petrochem applications. When subjected to low temperatures, O-rings can lose their flexibility with a much-reduced capacity to respond to a reaction force. PPE has an excellent selection of grades which seal reliably in low temperature applications.
Under long term exposure to high pressure operating conditions, many elastomer O-rings can experience reduced sealing capacity through the impact of compression set.
