Precision Polymer Engineering was proud to present Anna Kostuch and Muhammed Ameen Adam with £1,000 Educational Bursaries to assist with their future studies.

Ms Kostuch and Mr Adam were invited to Precision Polymer Engineering’s facility in Blackburn, where they were presented with their cheques and enjoyed a celebratory lunch with their families. Attendees included PPE employees Iwona Kostuch and Ismail Adam, parents of Anna and Muhammed respectively, who originally applied for the Educational Bursaries on behalf of their children.

As part of the award presentations, Gary Rae, Vice President of Human Resources, cited the importance of the ‘teams behind the team’.

He said: “We have always been quick to recognise the contributions of our people here at PPE, in creating a great place to work and delivering excellent results for the business. But we are also keen to celebrate the importance of the teams behind our team. Investing in the strength and happiness of the family networks behind our people is absolutely key to our success, as well as giving bright young people in Lancashire a helping hand with realising their ambitions.”

Neil Thompson, President of IDEX Sealing Solutions, was keen to pay tribute to the talent and tenacity of Anna and Muhammed in their successful applications.

Neil said: “These Educational Bursaries were hard-earned. We didn’t make it easy, and the application process was designed to provide the necessary challenge to identify the best of the best. In Anna and Muhammed, we believe we have identified two exceptional young people with a great future in their chosen fields. We are delighted to provide financial assistance to make their learning journeys a little easier, and we look forward to hearing of their successes in the years to come.”

Precision Polymer Engineering introduced internal Educational Bursaries in 2008, in order to support local young people with the increasing financial costs of further education. These Educational Bursaries are available to the families of all Precision Polymer Engineering employees, by means of a competitive multi-stage application process.
