The world’s leading, blue chip, chemical company required O-rings for a semiconductor solvent production plant manufacturing high purity chemicals for wet clean processes.
Problem
Customer using Kalrez® 4079 seals in an outdoors storage tank. Experiencing contaminating particles, installation difficulties due to the high modulus of the material and the elastomer becoming too stiff at temperatures below 10°C (50°F).
Solution
PPE offered Perlast® G100XT which provides ultra-high purity, lower modulus and low temperature capability down to -20°C (-4°F).
Result
Perlast® G100XT solved all the problems encountered and provided easier installation and improved sealing performance during the winter months.
