Food Contact Seals to Chinese Standard GB 4806.11-2016
The National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) of the People’s Republic of China implemented GB 4806.11-2016 “National Food Safety Standard Rubber Materials and Articles in Contact with Food” in April 2017. GB 4806.11-2016 applies to food contact materials (FCMs) and products made from natural rubber, synthetic rubber (including vulcanized thermoplastic elastomer), and silicone rubber as the main raw materials.
PPE offers food contact O-rings, seals, gaskets and custom components that are third-party tested in China, to the Chinese food contact standard. These material grades are also compliant with other international standards such as FDA, 3A 18-03, EC1935/EC2023 and USP Class VI.
