Global manufacturer of specialist valves, instruments and related flow control products for Naval surface ships and submarines.
Problem
O-rings used to seal the top entry ball valve require restricted cure dates (less than 3 months) to comply with UK Ministry of Defence standard.
Solution
PPE supplied EnDura® Z95X, high pressure resistant, HNBR, O-rings manufactured to order in small batches with new cure dates, allowing the valves to be pressure tested and certified prior to despatch.
Outcome
PPE seals meet the high pressure test specification and M.O.D. cure date requirements whilst reducing OEM’s stock holding, wastage and lead-times.
