PPE offers a comprehensive range of over 350 different elastomer compounds, and manufactures precision o-rings in sizes from 0.5mm up to 2000mm in diameter. So whether you require a large seal for a marine diesel engine or a USP Class VI o-ring for use in pharmaceutical equipment, PPE has the ability to manufacture o-rings and seal components for every application.

O-ring manufacture can also be carried out used injection moulding and transfer moulding.

USP Class VI

USP Class VI o-rings and seals are often required when sealing equipment within the pharmaceutical industry. USP Class VI is a standard published in the National Formulary (USP-NF) by the United States Pharmacopeia. O-rings and seals compliant to USP Class VI are often requested by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and end users of pharmaceutical equipment. Testing for compliance to USP Class VI involves an assessment of the effects of the material and extractables on animal tissue.

PPE offers several elastomer grades compliant with USP Class VI, including EPDM, Silicone, Fluoroelastomer (FKM/FPM) and Perfluoroelastomer. USP Class VI-compliant grades are also FDA compliant, available in black, white and translucent, and can be manfactured into o-rings and custom seal components.
