Bonded Composites
We lead the development of elastomer composite parts, bonding elastomer to a wide range of substrates including; steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminium, PTFE & PEEK.

Textile Reinforcement
Textiles can be incorporated into elastomer mouldings to increase strength and wear resistance. We can advise on the selection of reinforcement materials including; glass cloth, polyesters, polyamides and aromatic polyamides.

Materials specifications:
The PPE materials database contains more than 370 high-performance compounds. To aid the designer, our elastomer materials guide includes data on some of the highest performing compounds available in the industry.

Our interactive chemical compatibility guide rates each type of elastomer against an extensive list of over 1000 chemicals, making it quick and easy to identify the materials which best suit your requirements.

Design:
PPE has the ability to accept electronic CAD drawings using the latest software, as well as using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) modeling to explore ‘what if’ scenarios, ensuring the final seal design is right first time.


Tooling:
The comprehensive in-house toolroom and design facility allows extremely rapid start-up for new custom parts. Rapid prototyping and testing of new concepts and solutions leads to faster project turnround for the customer. Depending on the complexity of the project, typical lead-times for new tooling for special parts range from 3 days to 4 weeks.
