Production/Project Engineer

Precision Polymer Engineering (PPE) is a leading player in the design and manufacturing of high performance sealing solutions for critical applications across a wide range of industries such as Aerospace & Defence, Chemical Processing, Diesel Engines, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor and Food, Water & Dairy. We operate from a 2,600 sq.m., purpose built factory based on a 4-acre site in Blackburn, Lancashire.

To aid our strategy for growth, we are undertaking a 1,900 sq.m. factory extension & 750 sq.m. office building. Both projects are due for completion in Spring 2009. Our substantial investment in new processes has been further recognised through us receiving a ‘Queens Award for International Trade’, the second time we have won this prestigious award.

Continuing our development, we now require a “hands on” motivated Production / Project Engineer to support the efficiency improvements of all plant and equipment on site. Your responsibilities will include, manufacturing cell improvements, project management of equipment installations, capital expenditure justification and the problem solving of day to day production issues.

The successful candidate will be a strong minded, motivated engineer with a positive, 'can do' attitude who can adopt a tenacious & dynamic approach to project management. Your experience will come from a fast paced manufacturing background.

Ihre Herausforderung

Aufbau des Geschäftes im genannten PLZ-Bereich – bestehene Kundenbasis, aber hier gilt es auch, Pioneerarbeit zu leisten.

Kontakte im Bereich Maschinen-/Anlagenbau sollen etabliert werden, lokale Meinungsbildner und Keykunden müssen gefunden, eng geführt und betreut werden. Natürlich runden Messebesuche und die lokale PR die Aufgabe ab.

Sie berichten fachlich und disziplinarisch direkt nach England.

Ihr Profil

Abgeschlossene Ausbildung als Techniker oder Ingenieuer, Außendiensterfahrung, Maschinenbauerfahrung und entsprechende Marktkenntnisse sind Voraussetzung. Eine starke Vertriebsorientiertheit ist gefordert.

Selbständig arbeitend mit „hands-on“ – Mentalität, unternehmerisch denkend; ziel- und ergebnisorientiert; analytisch; kreativ; kommunikativ; Fähigkeit, etwas bewegen zu können.

Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse.
